Health Care For All says a fond farewell to Jon Kingsdale, Executive Director of the Connector Board. His June departure was announced today. Jon, thank you for your remarkable leadership of health reform implementation and the Connector. Through challenging times, you ably led the state’s work on implementing, sustaining, and protecting Chapter 58. The Connector staff and Board have made phenomenal achievements in the past four years, and they are well-positioned to continue maintaining and improving access to quality, affordable health insurance. Jon, we wish you the best of luck in your next adventure – and we hope you’ll spread far and wide the stories and successes of Massachusetts health reform.
And we are so pleased to welcome Glen Shor, Assistant Secretary for Health Care Policy within the Executive Office for Administration and Finance, as the incoming Executive Director. Board Chairman Jay Gonzalez announced Glen’s appointment today. Glen has been a not-so-behind-the-scenes leader in health reform and the Connector’s work for over three years. He is a gifted and skilled leader, who thoughtfully brings together different viewpoints to work toward compromise. Glen, we are excited to continue working with you and look forward to your talents as the Connector’s head.
