National health reform is good for Massachusetts

Starting today, HCFA will be posting a blog-a-day about why national health reform is good for Massachusetts.

These posts will include personal stories from people who have benefited from our state’s health reform law and how national health reform can help millions of others like them across the country.

The posts will also explain how national health reform will be good for Massachusetts by:

  • Improving health care quality
  • Lowering health care costs
  • Reducing health care disparities
  • Strengthening care for children and seniors
  • Promoting oral health

Congress is on the cusp of passing comprehensive health reform. We urge our Massachusetts delegation and all the other members of Congress to pass health reform and get a bill to the President’s desk.

Every state has been hit hard by the recession and national health reform will buoy local economies. It will also allow us to continue the gains we’ve made in Massachusetts with our landmark health reform law.

According to the latest Washington Post/ABC News poll, 63% percent of Americans want Congress to keep trying to pass national health reform. We’ve come too far to turn back now.

Please join us in our effort to pass national health reform and go to our homepage to learn how you can help. And check out our blog for your daily dose of why national health reform is good for Massachusetts.
