MassHealth Releases Operations FAQ

Late last summer, Health Care for All, members of the ACT!! Coalition and others sat down with senior MassHealth officials to share ideas about improving communication between their agency, advocates, and consumers. Advocates expressed their concerns of not having a direct contact when calling MassHealth with questions or concerns about a case. Out of that discussion brought an invitation from MassHealth to advocates to tour their four MassHealth Enrollment Centers (MECs) and Central Processing Unit (CPU).

Late last year and early this year, advocates throughout the state went to the MECs in Revere, Tewksbury, Springfield and Taunton to see all of the action and ask questions. The tour ended with a final stop at the CPU in Charlestown. Attendees of these meetings, as well as other advocates collected a list of MassHealth operations questions and answers from these meetings and compiled them into an easy-to-read FAQ document. MassHealth has adapted the document that can now be found here. Please comment on this blog entry if you have any questions or concerns.
