There’s a new business group in Massachusetts called the Progressive Business Leaders Network. Kinda says it all in the title. Here’s their Mission Statement:
The PBLN’s mission is to promote the best practices of business leaders committed to socially and environmentally responsible economic growth and the public policies that advance it.
They had their first big event today at the JFK Library and, as tends to happen at big events, they gave out their first award to recognize a progressive business leader who has made a difference. They chose to give their very first award to Phil Edmundson, President and CEO of William Gallagher Associates and, more importantly in this case, Chairman of the Affordable Care Today Coalition (ACT! and ACT!!, and MassACT — the ballot initiative campaign).
It was nice event and a great recognition for a humble and special guy who has made a real impact. So congrats to Phil Edmundson.
