If you read today’s Boston Globe account, you would think Senate President Therese Murray had nothing significant to say about health care in her speech yesterday to the Chamber of Commerce. Nothing could be further from the truth. What’s up, Globe?
WBUR’s Martha Bebinger found material worth reporting, and got some additional news to boot:
BEBINGER: The Senate is putting Murray’s ideas on the fast track. Senator Richard Moore hopes to have the package, which is still a work in progress, passed in the Senate by the end of next month.
MOORE: The Senate is very collegial and receptive to things and we’ll get it worked out. But we’ll see whether that’s doable or not. It depends on what other distractions we get.

Meanwhile, Paul Levy at Running a Hospital weighs in. He likes Sen. Murray’s comments, and he doesn’t like rate regulation.
It’s all for the good. The robust conversation we’ve been hankering for since last year seems to be starting to erupt. Let’s keep it going.
